Yes...we asked them to bring candy.

Project for PAP-6/7 students
Each teacher is using a slightly different format for this project so that we get a variety of different graphs, charts, tables, etc. The information list below is from Mrs. Rebeles' class. Check with your child and/or teacher to clarify information from another teacher.
There are two separate projects. One is for PAP-6 and PAP-6/7 students and the other is only for the GT students.
This is a sample of a project for the PAP-6/7 classes.

They also need to get the participants initials. This not only shows that the data is real (and not just made up) but also shows when all 5 pieces of data are shown.
From the data collected, the student will construct a double-bar graph. The sub-categories need to be noted in the key.
The total column will be used to create circle graph. The data will be converted to a percent (use FDP) then approximate percentages will be used to create the circle graph.

The GT students have a 2nd portion to their project. They need come up with an inquiring question that would have at least 25 responses. I chose to find the age of president when he took office.
From this data, students will construct a Frequency Table.
The data will also be used to create a Stem and Leaf Plot.
Here is a sample of the website where I found my data for my project.
First students will SURVEY 50 people and record their answers.
